🌿 1. Rewilding the Heart

Returning to Nature in a Modern World

Draft Post:

We are all born with a wildness inside us.

Not chaos — but instinct. A deep remembering of wind, soil, bird calls, and quiet.

Over time, the modern world asks us to trade that wildness for urgency. Screens replace sunsets. Noise replaces stillness. Achievement replaces presence.

Rewilding the Heart is not about escaping responsibility. It is about returning to balance.

Living in rural Tasmania, surrounded by dry sclerophyll forest, sheep paddocks and wedge-tailed eagles, I have come to understand that nature does not rush — and yet everything is accomplished.

To rewild the heart is to:

  • Walk slowly.

  • Observe more.

  • Protect what is vulnerable.

  • Create rather than consume.

  • Remember that we belong to the land, not the other way around.

This space is an invitation to step outside again.
